Itanagar, Aug 18: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Tuesday called on Vice President CP Radhakrishnan in New Delhi and extended a warm invitation, on behalf of the people of Arunachal Pradesh, to visit the State.
Khandu said he sincerely thanked the Vice President for graciously accepting the invitation and expressed confidence that the visit would provide an opportunity to showcase Arunachal Pradesh’s rich cultural heritage, natural beauty and the warmth of its people.
“We look forward to welcoming and hosting him in Arunachal Pradesh and sharing with him the warmth, rich cultural heritage and natural beauty of our State,” Khandu said in a social media post.
On Monday, Khandu had called on Union Home Minister Amit Shah and presented the 10-year Progress Report of Team Arunachal, highlighting the State’s development journey and transformation over the past decade.
During the meeting, Khandu briefed the Home Minister on key developmental initiatives being undertaken by the State government and discussed various aspects of Arunachal Pradesh’s continued growth and progress.
The Chief Minister also sought Shah’s continued support and guidance for the State’s development, peace and prosperity.
Khandu expressed gratitude to the Union Home Minister for his “unwavering support” and keen interest in the progress and welfare of Arunachal Pradesh.
The meeting comes as the State government continues to highlight the developmental gains made in Arunachal Pradesh over the past 10 years under what it describes as the collective efforts of Team Arunachal.
