PASIGHAT, Aug 18: The Department of Commerce, Arunachal Pradesh University (APU), organized an Orientation-cum-Induction Programme for newly admitted MCom 1st-semester students, welcoming them into the postgraduate programme with sessions on academic guidance, peer interaction, and felicitation of high-performing students.
The programme was hosted by Tenzin Chimey, Assistant Professor.
Obinam Tayeng, guest faculty, extended greetings to the new batch.
Later, students introduced themselves, shared their aspirations, and interacted with peers.
A technical session was conducted by Dr Yab Rajiv Camder, Assistant Professor, who offered academic and technical insights for the students’ postgraduate journey. He urged students to approach their studies with greater rigour, analytical thinking, and active engagement.
Students with the highest attendance in the 1st and 2nd semesters were felicitated and awarded certificates in recognition of their regularity and commitment to academic activities.
Addressing the gathering, HoD Dr Rajen Miwu urged the new students to make the most of their postgraduate journey, stressing discipline, regularity, active participation, and continuous learning.
