DPCA, Caden CC, AIOC, Neelam CC record wins

ITANAGAR, Aug 20: The Arunachal Club T20 Championship 2026-27 continued to produce exciting cricket as four league matches—two played on Aug 19 and another two on Aug 20—delivered a mix of dominant bowling performances, aggressive batting and closely fought contests at the AIOC ground here.

In match no 5, DPCA produced a convincing five-wicket victory over ‘Si-Donyi Cricket Foundation after successfully chasing a target of 111 runs in just 13.1 overs.

Si-Donyi team, after winning the toss and electing to bat, were bowled out for 110 in 18.5 overs. Aman Pisa anchored the innings with a determined 65 off 58 deliveries comprising five 4’s and four 6’s.

For DPCA, Mojahid Khan was particularly impressive, finishing with 2 wickets for just 17 runs in 3.5 overs, including a maiden. Tanmay Paul also claimed 2 wickets for 10 runs, while Biku Sha picked up 2 wickets for 25 runs.

Chasing 111, DPCA got off to a flying start through Md Akib, who smashed 42 from only 21 balls. His innings included five 4’s and three 6’s. DPCA eventually reached 111 for five in 13.1 overs to secure a five-wicket win.

Match no 6 witnessed another low-scoring contest, with Caden Cricket Club overcoming Neelam Cricket Club by 3 wickets.

Neelam team, opting to bat first, struggled against a disciplined Caden bowling attack and were dismissed for only 73 in 19.3 overs.

The star of the bowling effort was Nabam Natung, who produced an outstanding spell of 4 wickets for just 11 runs from 4 overs.

After losing seven wickets, Caden eventually reached 74 in 13.5 overs to register a three-wicket victory.

Match No 7 produced a much higher-scoring encounter as AIOC defeated Si-Donyi Cricket Foundation by 4 wickets.

Si-Donyi, batting first after being put in, posted a competitive 147 for seven in their allotted 20 overs. Nabam Totu was the backbone of the innings, remaining unbeaten on 47 off 43 balls, including four 4’s and a 6.

AIOC's bowlers managed to restrict Si-Donyi from reaching an even bigger total. Leki was the pick of the attack with three wickets for 21 runs, while Sosar Kakum and Lalit Deva claimed two wickets apiece.

In reply, AIOC’s Techi Tado led the charge with an explosive 35 off just 20 balls, hitting seven 4’s. Sosar Kakum added 33 from 25 balls, while Abhishek Pal contributed a rapid 19 off 11 deliveries.

AIOC reached 150 for six in 18.3 overs to complete a four-wicket victory.

Match no 8 saw Neelam Cricket Club bounce back strongly to defeat Seppa United Cricket Club by 39 runs.

After choosing to bat first, Neelam Cricket Club posted 125 for four in 20 overs. Captain Neelam Togum played a patient and important unbeaten innings of 47 from 59 balls.

Seppa United Cricket Club found the chase difficult from the beginning. They were eventually bowled out for 86 in 19.3 overs, handing Neelam Cricket Club a comfortable 39-run victory.
