ITANAGAR, Aug 21: ICAR-KVK Namsai successfully completed a five-day Skill Development training program on honeybee rearing for 5 CRPF personnel from August 17 to 21.
Dr Madhumita Sonowal Bora, SMS (Plant Protection), KVK Namsai, discussed essential apiculture techniques with the participants, focusing on sustainable honey production and hive management practices to enhance their livelihood opportunities and promote local biodiversity conservation.
Also, exposure visits to the apiary units at 7-KM, Namsai district, and Bordumsa, Changlang district, were organized to provide hands-on experience in colony inspection, queen bee identification, and seasonal management of bee colonies.
The training concluded with the distribution of certificates to the participants, marking the successful completion of the capacity building program. Furthermore, the feedback gathered from the participants indicated a high level of satisfaction with the quality of instruction and the practical relevance of the curriculum.
