KHONSA, Aug 29: The No Fear Battalion of Assam Rifles celebrated Raksha Bandhan and organized ‘A Day with Company Commander’ at the Company Operating Base (COB), Lazu on Friday.
The programme witnessed the participation of around 375 villagers, including village heads, public leaders and local residents. A wide range of activities was organized as part of the event, including Raksha Bandhan celebrations, cultural programmes, sports events, a medical camp, career counselling and various other community-oriented activities.
The celebrations provided an opportunity to strengthen the bond between the Assam Rifles and the local populace, fostering trust, mutual respect, camaraderie and a sense of togetherness.
The villagers expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Assam Rifles for organizing the programme and for its continued support and commitment towards the welfare and development of communities in the border areas.
