PAMPOLI, Sep 2: East Kameng Deputy Commissioner Yashaswini B on Tuesday conducted a surprise inspection of the Pampoli Health & Wellness Centre to review the functioning of the facility and assess the availability and quality of healthcare services.
The DC was accompanied by District Medical Officer Dr D K Mijiji and District Reproductive & Child Health Officer Dr Dirang Pizi.
A special health camp was being conducted at the centre during the inspection, providing screening and preventive services to local residents. These included screening for hypertension, diabetes and other non-communicable diseases, immunisation, tuberculosis screening using a hand-held X-ray machine, and Ayushman card enrolment and awareness.
Yashaswini inspected staff attendance and the availability of essential equipment and services and took stock of the overall functioning of the facility. She also interacted with healthcare personnel and members of the public to understand the issues related to service delivery.
The DC appreciated the health team for organising the camp and bringing essential screening and healthcare services closer to the community.
She stressed the importance of regular service delivery and effective utilisation of available resources to ensure accessible and quality healthcare at the grassroots level. (DIPRO)
