ITANAGAR, Sep 9: The Arunachal Pradesh State Commission for Women (APSCW), while vehemently condemning the alleged molestation of a child recently, said that such heinous acts are deeply disturbing and completely unacceptable, according to a press note issued by APSCW Chairperson Yalem Taga Burang here today.
The Commission appreciated prompt action taken by the police and urged the concerned authorities to take immediate and stern action against the perpetrator(s) and book him/them under the strictest applicable provisions of law.
The Commission further called upon the authorities to thoroughly investigate all aspects of the matter and register the case under the relevant provisions pertaining to child trafficking and child labour, in addition to the applicable laws relating to child sexual abuse and exploitation.
The APSCW also urged the concerned authorities for swift investigation and strict legal action to ensure that justice is delivered and further requested to provide all necessary support, care and assistance to the victim and the family.
