ZIRO, Sep 13: In a major moment for cultural preservation vis-à-vis Ziro valley, the official inauguration of Charung Piimii Lanii, the new office of the Apatani Nyibu Association (ANA), was done today.
The launch event brought together community leaders, administrative officials, and local residents, including Deputy Commissioner Oli Perme, ANA president Hage Tasser and general secretary Pura Pai, alongside members of the executive body and local well-wishers.
The Nyibu institution has long served as a cornerstone of Apatani identity, safeguarding ancestral wisdom, sacred rituals, oral traditions, and spiritual practices passed down through generations.
Speakers at the ceremony highlighted that physical spaces like Charung Piimii Lanii are vital to keeping these traditional systems active and resilient, ensuring the community’s heritage is carried forward with pride and dignity.
