Newly constructed Namghar inaugurated at Kaupatani

NAMSAI, Sep 14: A newly constructed Namghar at Kaupatani village under Mahadevpur in Namsai district was inaugurated on Sunday by Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein in the presence of Rajya Sabha MP Tai Tagak, marking the addition of a new community space for prayer, spiritual activities and social gatherings.

Speaking on the occasion, Mein said the Namghar would serve not only as a place of worship but also as a centre for strengthening community bonds, faith and brotherhood. He expressed hope that the sacred space would promote peace, spiritual enrichment and collective welfare in the area.

MP Tai Tagak said places of worship play an important role in fostering collective values and harmonious living. He described the Namghar as a space that would bring people together and strengthen the spirit of community participation.

He expressed hope that the newly inaugurated Namghar would continue to serve as a source of spiritual strength and contribute to the welfare of the community for generations.

The programme was attended by Environment and Forests Minister Wangki Lowang, Women and Child Development Minister Dasanglu Pul, legislators, Zilla Parishad Chairperson of Namsai, Deputy Commissioner, Superintendent of Police, heads of departments and other dignitaries.

The inauguration brought together local residents and dignitaries in a celebration centred on faith, community togetherness and peaceful coexistence.
