Minister Sona bats for better coord b/w engineers and planning authority for strong and quality infra dev

ITANAGAR, Sep 15: RWD, Tourism and Education Minister P D Sona today batted for better coordination between engineers and planning authority for strong and quality infrastructure development.

Attending the 59th Engineers’ Day celebration, organized by the Arunachal Pradesh Engineering Service Association (APESA) to mark the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya, at Banquet Hall here, the Minister praised engineers for their efforts in connection with developing State’s infrastructures. He emphasized shaping the future through knowledge, innovation, and technical expertise.

While acknowledging their relentless service toward infrastructure development and nation-building, Sona urged better understanding and coordination between the executing agency and department so that we can witness a strong and quality infrastructure.

Commissioner Land Management and Power A K Singh outlined the path for clean power initiatives and optimized land management systems in Arunachal Pradesh.

He stressed the importance of digitizing land archives and building high-resilient energy networks across rural circles. He also encouraged engineering wings to deploy cross-departmental coordination to expedite pending public projects.

APESA president T K Tara, vice president Tayum Tok Camdir, and retired CE (PWD) Kenjum Ete, among others also addressed.

NERIST Associate Professor (Mech Engineering) Dr Nabam Teyi, and NIT Dean (R&C) Prof Dr Utpal Kr Saha, the resource persons for the programme, spoke on ‘Engineering excellence for a sustainable and technological sovereign India’.
