Sona attends Education Conclave 2026 in Nagaland

ITANAGAR, Sep 19: Arunachal Pradesh Education Minister Pasang Dorjee Sona attended the Education Conclave 2026 in Nagaland on Friday, which brought together education leaders and stakeholders from across the Northeast to deliberate on the implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.

The conclave provided a regional platform to discuss challenges and opportunities in implementing education reforms in the Northeastern States and explore a coordinated roadmap for the sector.

Sona said the discussions focused on region-specific issues and the need for greater cooperation among the Northeastern States in advancing educational reforms under NEP 2020.

He appreciated Nagaland Minister for Higher Education and Tourism Temjen Imna Along for initiating the regional platform for dialogue and collaboration.

A cultural programme showcasing Nagaland’s music, dance and traditions was also organised as part of the conclave.

Sona said the programme highlighted the importance of keeping education closely connected with the region’s diverse identities, languages, cultural heritage and communities.

The conclave brought together policy discussions and cultural presentations, providing an opportunity for education stakeholders from the Northeast to exchange perspectives and explore areas of cooperation.
