Hindi Saptah Samaroh 2026 concludes at GCD

ITANAGAR, Sep 19: The Hindi Department of Govt College Doimukh (GCD) concluded the Hindi Saptah Samaroh 2026 on Friday with a vibrant celebration of the official language.

To foster a deeper appreciation of Hindi among students, the Samaroh featured various literary activities such as self-composed poem recitation, debates, extempore speech, and news reporting, along with cultural competitions.

As keynote speaker, Dr Anil Kumar, HoD Geography, emphasized the constitutional significance of Hindi and its role in national unity amid diversity. He urged students to recognize the importance of the Hindi language on a larger scale by participating in various Hindi programs at the national and international levels.

Addressing the gathering, Dr D K Jha, HoD Political Science, praised the faculty of the Hindi Department for their annual celebration of the official language with enthusiasm. He called Hindi a language of culture and emotion for every Indian. Hindi is not only a mere language, but a mark of our national identity.

HoD Hindi, Byanang Yana, in her speech, encouraged the students to uphold the legacy of Hindi as a link between various languages of our country.

The weeklong event was attended by faculty members and students in large numbers. The event concluded with prize distribution to the winners of various competitions.
