ITANAGAR, Sep 22: Senior BJP leaders on Tuesday deliberated on organisational priorities, grassroots engagement and development issues at the party's extended state executive meeting held at the DK Convention Centre here.
BJP national general secretary (organisation) BL Santosh addressed the inaugural session of the meeting, which was attended by Chief Minister Pema Khandu, Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju, BJP Northeast coordinator Dr Sambit Patra, joint coordinator Rajiv Babbar, State in-charge Ashok Singhal, State BJP president Kaling Moyong and MPs Tapir Gao and Tai Tagak, besides party legislators and executive members.
Addressing the gathering, Khandu highlighted the transformation of Arunachal Pradesh in terms of infrastructure and connectivity, and said the younger generation was growing up in a State with substantially improved development infrastructure compared to earlier decades.
He urged party workers to remain committed to the party's principles, contribute to resolving issues and support efforts aimed at public welfare and development.
In a social media post, Dy CM Mein said the meeting provided an opportunity to deliberate on infrastructure, connectivity, economic reforms and welfare measures, besides reviewing organisational priorities. He also stressed strengthening coordination at different levels and working towards the goals of a Viksit Arunachal Pradesh and a Viksit Bharat.
Singhal said the meeting discussed organisational priorities, strengthening engagement with people at the grassroots level, development and public welfare. He stressed coordinated organisational efforts towards building a developed and self-reliant Arunachal Pradesh.
The meeting focused on strengthening the party organisation at various levels and improving coordination among its functionaries in the State.
