RONO HILLS, Sep 22: The Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE), Rajiv Gandhi University, organized a farewell programme in honour of its outgoing Director Prof Ashan Riddi, following his selection as the Vice Chancellor of Arunachal Pradesh University (APU), Pasighat.
Prof Riddi served as Director. CDOE for the last 16 years, during which the Centre has witnessed considerable academic and institutional growth. The programme brought together the CDOE family to acknowledge his service, recall his contribution and extend best wishes for his new responsibility.
Dr Nani Tamang Jose (JR, CDOE) congratulated Prof Riddi on his new responsibility and extended best wishes for his tenure at APU. He expressed hope that the university would reach new heights under his leadership and assured him of the continued support of the RGU fraternity.
Prof Tajen Dabi, HoD History and Coordinator CDOE, also shared his reflections, recalling Prof Riddi first as his teacher and later as his colleague. He described him as upright, honest and impartial, and recalled his contribution to systematising records and strengthening the institution.
