BOLENG, Sep 27: The Seva Sankalp Abhiyan 2026, organised in line with the Seva Aapke Dwar initiative, was held at the premises of Govt Hr Sec School (GHSS), Boleng, on Sunday to facilitate access to government schemes and services for people at their doorstep.
Education, RWD, Parliamentary Affairs and Library Minister P D Sona attended the programme as chief guest, while Rural Development, Panchayati Raj, Transport and Cooperation Minister Ojing Tasing was the guest of honour.
Representatives from 18 government departments and institutions, including banking institutions, participated in the camp and provided various services and assistance related to government welfare schemes.
The initiative aimed to strengthen last-mile delivery of public services and ensure that eligible beneficiaries have easier access to government schemes and assistance.
Later, Sona formally inaugurated the newly completed infrastructure of GHSS Boleng in the presence of Tasing and other dignitaries.
MLA-cum-Advisor Talem Taboh, former minister Tahong Tatak, Zilla Parishad Chairperson of Siang, Deputy Commissioner, Superintendent of Police, heads of departments, teachers, students, government officials and members of the public attended the inauguration.
Addressing the gathering, Sona appreciated the quality of the infrastructure work and urged students to remain sincere and dedicated to their studies. He also advised them to properly maintain the newly constructed school building and make optimum use of the facilities.
The Education Minister assured that the remaining furniture and other essential facilities would be provided subsequently.
The inauguration is expected to strengthen educational infrastructure at Boleng and provide students with a more conducive learning environment.
The twin programmes highlighted the government’s efforts towards improving last-mile delivery of public services and strengthening essential infrastructure in Siang district. (DIPRO)
