DEOMALI, Sep 27: With a view to spreading awareness of indigenous faith, cultural heritage and youth development, the Indigenous Faith and Cultural Society of Arunachal Pradesh (IFCSAP) in association with the Rangfrah Faith Promotion Society organized a lecture at Rangsoam Home here.
The programme was attended by students of Wangcha Rajkumar Govt College (WRGC) along with other students from Deomali.
Major Sudhanshu Satyam, Assam Rifles, who attended the programme as chief guest, interacted with the students on developing practical skills and exploring avenues for self-employment alongside formal education.
The interaction focused on encouraging students to utilise their interests, skills, creativity and intelligence to develop small-scale livelihood and entrepreneurial activities while continuing their studies. The initiative sought to promote financial self-reliance, entrepreneurship and self-employment opportunities among the youth of Tirap.
The programme underscored that education, preservation of indigenous heritage and economic self-reliance can collectively contribute to stronger and more resilient communities. Students were encouraged to remain connected with their cultural roots while acquiring knowledge, skills and entrepreneurial capabilities that can create opportunities for themselves and contribute to the sustainable socio-economic development of their families and the wider community in Tirap. The interaction reinforced the importance of youth as responsible custodians of cultural heritage and future contributors to community development.
The prayer and interaction program was attended by Ngaasah Tangjang, Tumken Lollen, Vibhag Karyawaha TCL, Harish Saikia from Margherita, Dr Kumson Thingnok, Zilla Karyawaha Tirap, Koilash Boraj, Marging Taji, Wangphoon Lowangji, Thokwang Ngongpadong, and other prominent IFC leaders of Tirap district.
