ITANAGAR, Sep 27: The All Arunachal Pradesh Wushu Association (AAPWA) accorded a warm welcome to Nyeman Wangsu upon her return to Arunachal Pradesh after representing India in Women’s Taolu – Changquan at the 20th Asian Games, Aichi-Nagoya, Japan.
Her participation in the Asian Games stage is a remarkable milestone in her sporting journey and a proud moment for Arunachal Pradesh and the Wushu fraternity. Her dedication, perseverance and commitment continue to inspire a new generation of athletes across the State, stated the AAPWA.
The reception at Hollongi Airport was led by AAPWA general secretary John Tara Bakey, in presence of president Tach Tadar, other officials, Technical Director-cum-Coach P C Sing along with other office bearers and members of the Association.
The AAPWA expressed its heartfelt appreciation to Nyeman for carrying the spirit of Arunachal Pradesh onto the international sporting arena and for representing the nation with determination, discipline and dignity.
It also acknowledged the continued support of the State government, Department of Sports & Youth Affairs, Arunachal Olympic Association, and other concerned quarters for the growth and progress of Wushu athletes in the State.
