The event is being organised by the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, in collaboration with the Government of Arunachal Pradesh, International Buddhist Confederation (IBC) and National Museum, coinciding with the auspicious occasion of Lhabab Duechen (Abhidharma Divas).

As part of the preparations, an Advance Security Liaison (ASL) team led by IBC Director Colonel (Retd) Yash Saxena, along with officials from the National Museum, arrived in Tawang on Thursday.

The team was received at Ugyen Tsangpo Helipad by In-charge Deputy Commissioner Tawang Rinchin Leta and Chairman, Programme Coordination for Buddha Relics, Tenzin Jorden, along with other officials.

The visit focused on reviewing logistical arrangements, movement routes, venue preparedness and other requirements for the smooth and coordinated conduct of the programmes.

The ASL team will hold a coordination meeting with officials of concerned departments at the DC Office premises on Friday to discuss and finalise arrangements for the upcoming events. (DIPRO)
