AALO, Oct 22: The Team All 27th Liromoba Youth Organisation (A27LYO) has urged the West Siang district administration to ensure that all government officers and staff posted at Liromoba Headquarters report to their designated stations within 30 days.
In a representation submitted to the Deputy Commissioner, the organisation expressed concern over the alleged absenteeism of officials who, despite being posted at Liromoba, reportedly operate from Aalo, Basar and Likabali, causing inconvenience to villagers seeking essential administrative services.
The organisation pointed out that Liromoba serves as both a circle and sub-divisional headquarters, with several key developmental departments functioning from the area.
It sought a directive requiring heads of departments and drawing and disbursing officers to ensure the physical presence of their staff at Liromoba. It also called for adherence to office hours from 10 am to 4 pm, with attendance registers countersigned by the ADC, Yomcha, or the CO, Liromoba.
Other demands include withholding salaries in the absence of valid station certificates issued by local administrative officers, conducting monthly surprise inspections and initiating disciplinary action against defaulting employees under the applicable CCS (Conduct) Rules.
The organisation warned that it would launch a democratic movement if the authorities failed to ensure compliance within the stipulated 30 days. Copies of the representation were also forwarded to concerned departmental and administrative authorities for necessary action.
