ITANAGAR, Oct 28: The Arunachal Pradesh government’s Special Development Package for Siang and Upper Siang districts provides financial assistance of Rs 2.5 lakh to each eligible project-affected family, Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein said in a social media post on Wednesday.
The package has a total sanctioned outlay of Rs 350 crore over four years, with Rs 36.37 crore allocated for the financial year 2025–26.
Covering eligible families in 16 villages, the initiative is aimed at supporting livelihoods and improving the well-being of project-affected people in the two districts.
The assistance allows eligible families to use the funds according to their individual needs and priorities, Mein said.
