Dy Speaker flags off ambulance for Sibe HC

LIKABALI, Oct 30: State Assembly Kardo Nyigyor today flagged off a Bolero Neo+ P4 Ambulance for Sibe health centre (HC) in Lower Siang district.

The ambulance, procured under the Non-BADP Scheme, was formally flagged off during a simple ceremony held at the premises of Kardu Taipodia District Hospital, Likabali. The programme was attended by Lower Siang Deputy Commissioner Gobi Nyicyor, Superintendent of Police Bomken Basar, HoDs and medical staff.

Describing the occasion as an important step towards strengthening healthcare service delivery in the district, Nyigyor expressed hope that the newly procured ambulance would provide timely transportation and essential support to patients, particularly those from Sibe, one of the remotest circles of the district. He expressed confidence that the vehicle would greatly benefit the people in accessing medical services, especially during emergencies and accident cases, while facilitating referrals to higher medical facilities, including Dibrugarh and Itanagar.

The Dy Speaker stated that providing an ambulance to Sibe was a long-standing public demand. Keeping in view the difficulties faced by residents during medical emergencies, funds under the Non-BADP Scheme were utilized to procure the vehicle.

He also appealed to the Health Department to ensure proper maintenance and responsible utilization of the ambulance for the benefit of needy patients. He urged the public to treat the ambulance as a public asset, protect it and ensure that it is not misused. (DIPRO)
