ITANAGAR, Nov 6: The Arunachal Pradesh Government has approved a three-percent increase in Dearness Allowance (DA) for State Government employees and Dearness Relief (DR) for pensioners and family pensioners, raising the rate from 60 per cent to 63 per cent with effect from July 1, 2026.
Chief Minister Pema Khandu announced the decision on Friday, stating that the enhanced DA and DR would also benefit All India Services (AIS) officers serving under the State Government and Central Government employees on deputation to Arunachal Pradesh.
The increase will provide additional financial relief to serving employees as well as retired government personnel and family pensioners, in line with the revision in DA and DR rates.
According to the payment arrangements announced by the government, arrears for the four-month period from July to October 2026 will be paid in cash. The arrears will be credited directly to the respective salary accounts of serving employees and pension accounts of pensioners and family pensioners.
The revised DA and DR at 63 per cent will be paid along with the salary and pension for November 2026.
The DA hike is expected to benefit a large section of the state government workforce, while the corresponding DR increase will provide additional support to pensioners and family pensioners.
