DC assesses progress of PMGSY roads, mini secretariat bldg

ZIRO, Mar 31: Lower Subansiri Deputy Commissioner Somcha Lowang today took stock of all PMGSY II roads of Ziro- I and also oversaw the mini secretariat building being executed by the PWD.

As a pilot project in the State, paver block pavements for the PMGSY have been introduced in Ziro plateau. Out of 22.64 Kms of the sanctioned road, only 1.50 kms is left to be completed before the deadline (March, 2022), which the DC termed as a very good achievement by the RWD, Ziro division.

Expressing satisfaction over the quality and pace of work, Lowang congratulated all the engineers of the department for the excellent work.

Making a special mention of the PMGSY road from the BRTF road to the Shivlinga at Kardo, the DC said: “The slippery hilly roads have always been a point of concern for the District Administration. But this paver block road is a blessing for all the devotees who visit the Shivlinga.”

It is worth mentioning here that the RWD under the guidance of executive engineer Gambi Karbak and JE Hage Monya has completed this patch of road almost five months before the deadline.

The DC along with the PWD engineers also inspected the mini secretariat building. She interacted with contractor and PWD officials and requested them to expedite the work. (DIPRO)
