ITANAGAR, Mar 9: The State silver medallions for unsung heroes of the Galo community awarded posthumously to Tamra Patra awardees late Moji Riba, late Moje Riba and late Ligin Bomjen on the occasion of the 37th Statehood Day of Arunachal Pradesh, were formally handed over to their respective family members by Galo Welfare Society (GWS) president Marnya Ete in a small ceremony here on Tuesday.
The GWS president and the Galo Luminaries and Freedom Fighter Research and Promotion Committee chairman Gomar Basar had, on behalf of the late freedom fighters’ families, received a citation and three state silver medallions from Governor KT Parnaik in a State function held at the Raj Bhavan here on February 20.
