Itanagar, Apr 26: A flash flood triggered by heavy rainfall had wreaked havoc on Wednesday night in the area between Jayang Bagang and Kasse Bagang under Chayang Tajo circle in East Kameng district, causing severe damage to both public and private properties.
Heavy flow of water brought down debris from the forest area to the road making it unmotorable. In the catastrophic incident, several livestock were also washed away and extensive damage was caused to the paddy fields.
According to Tala Bagang, GPM of Kasse Bagang, the road is being cleared at the moment and will open for traffic from 8 am tomorrow.
