UP Chief Secy visits Malinithan

LIKABALI, Apr 29: The Chief Secretary of Uttar Pradesh Government, Durga Shankar Mishra has visited Malinithan, the archaeological site of the medieval period of 10-12 century AD, nestled at the foothills of Likabali, Lower Siang district.

Mishra and his spouse, after being given official reception as state guests in the morning at the circuit house, visited the Malini Mandir and the Radha Krishna Rukmini Mandir to offer prayers. They also visited the District Archaeological Museum before their departure.

Mishra was all praise for the temple, its upkeep and also the relevance it has with the Puranas. He said, “The Mandir and its surroundings have strong evidence to tell us about the true stories of Lord Krishna and Princess Rukmini, and scholars and other visitors must come and explore these hidden treasures.”

He assured that the tourist inflow will multiply in the coming days after they would see and explore the presence of such a glorious archaeological site and its religious relevance with those magnificent periods. He also assured to see that all possible endeavour is made to transform this site to stand as a tourist destination and its popularity extend beyond boundaries. (DIPRO)
