Involve more youth in Red Cross: Guv to IRCSAPSB

ITANAGAR, May 3: Governor Lt General (Retd) K T Parnaik has said that in the face of adversity, uncertainty, and disaster, it is the unwavering dedication of Red Cross volunteers that serves as a beacon of hope and compassion.

He said that the dedication, compassion, and selflessness of Red Cross volunteers have always inspired all to be devoted and to live with greater empathy and compassion.

While interacting with the representatives of IRCSAPSB at Raj Bhavan here today, Parnaik called upon the volunteers to continue to uphold the noble ideals of the Red Cross and strive to create a world where kindness and solidarity reign supreme.

The Governor, who is also the president of Indian Red Cross Society, Arunachal Pradesh State Branch (IRCSAPSB), said that whether it’s providing aid to victims of natural disasters, offering comfort to those experiencing personal crises, or delivering lifesaving assistance to communities in need, the selfless service of Red Cross volunteers embodies the very essence of humanity.

The Governor advised the IRCSAPSB members to involve more youth in the organization. He also suggested them to create awareness on first aid, natural disasters and its precautions, health and sanitation and importance of blood donation.

Earlier, IRCSAPSB Jt secretary Tame Anuk briefed the Governor about the programmes and initiatives of the IRCS State Branch. Dr Marli Ete, Vice Chairman IRCSAPSB and Marbom Gangkak also attended the meeting.
