East Siang’s Ngorlung village holds free Ayurvedic Health Camp

PASIGHAT, Apr 13: A free Ayurvedic Health Camp was successfully organized at Ngorlung village, East Siang district by Siang Trust in collaboration with the North Eastern Institute of Ayurveda & Folk Medicine Research (NEIAFMR), an autonomous institution under the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India.

The camp was conducted in presence of Ayurveda Specialists Dr Oyin Pertin (NEIAFMR) and Dr Vivek Anand (NEIAFMR), along with Ranjit Doley, Principal Donyi Polo Vidya Niketan, Ngorlung.

The camp offered a range of free healthcare services including Ayurveda consultation, distribution of Ayurvedic medicines, Nadi & Prakriti Parikshan and awareness on disease prevention through Dincharya, Ritucharya and basic Ayurvedic principles.

The initiative witnessed encouraging participation from the local community, with a total of 45 patients attending the camp and availing the medical services provided.

Such initiatives aim to promote traditional healthcare practices and improve access to medical facilities in rural areas. This is the first of the series of exclusive Ayurveda medical camp planned to be conducted by Siang Trust every month with the faculty and medicine support from NEIAFMR, Pasighat.
