ITANAGAR, Aug 5: In a proud moment for Arunachal Pradesh, two athletes -Takam Jyoti and Adi Natung excelled at the Batumi Open International Wushu Tournament, conducted from July 30 to August 3 at Batumi, Georgia.
While Jyoti secured a silver medal, Adi bagged a bronze.
Acknowledging this feat, the All Arunachal Pradesh Wushu Association (AAPWA) in association with Sangay Lhaden Sports Academy (SLSA), Chimpu today organized a reception programme at Hollongi airport to honour two exceptional young ambassadors of Indian Wushu.
Both medal-winning athletes were accorded a warm, ceremonial and heartfelt welcome upon their arrival.
The formal reception, media interaction and athletes’ briefing that followed reflected the deep respect and admiration the sporting fraternity holds for these young achievers.
AAPWA president Tach Tadar and general secretary John Tara Bakey, together with the SLSA leadership, expressed their immense satisfaction at this outstanding success. They described the earning of medals as a shining testament to years of disciplined training, unwavering dedication and strong partnership between the Association and the Academy.
“This achievement is not merely the success of two individuals,” they stated, “but a proud reflection of the collective vision, hard work and institutional support that is steadily elevating Arunachal Pradesh onto the global Wushu map.
